BACKGROUND:

Mr. Lorne Epson holds a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering with an emphasis in Fluids and Thermal Power. He is a registered professional engineer in Texas, Louisiana, and Arizona.

He has 20+ years of experience in mechanical, heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) design, plumbing system design, and design management and coordination. He gained broad-based experience as Director of Engineering for a leading custom air handling unit (AHU) manufacturer and as a Senior HVAC Project Engineer on projects ranging from $1 million to $9 billion in total construction cost. As Director of Engineering and Senior Project Engineer, he was called upon to solve complex problems with design, integration, manufacturing, and operation of custom HVAC and pressurization equipment. In mechanical system design, he has developed construction documents, coordinated other design professionals, monitored construction progress, and performed studies to isolate root causes of humidity-related issues.

He is also experienced in the specification, design, manufacture, and procurement of HVAC systems for domestic and international clients on commercial buildings, refineries, and offshore production platforms.

Mr. Epson is knowledgeable about conceptual design, project design and development, plans and specifications development, constructability reviews, system integration techniques, system and component design, permit acquisition, code compliance and calculations, cost estimating, vendor assessments, and quality control.

As a forensic engineer, he performs investigations of building enclosures and mechanical, plumbing, fire sprinkler, elevator, and escalator systems, and their operation and environment.
