BACKGROUND:

Mr. Gregory Hora received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Mathematics from the University of Missouri. He has over 20 years of international industry experience in designing and analyzing structural HVAC systems, large-scale piping systems, water treatment systems, PV solar power generation facilities, and sheet metal fabrication plants. He also has direct industry experience designing and developing water treatment products, cryogenic freezing systems, and consumer products. He is also a certified Traffic Accident Investigation and Traffic Accident Reconstruction (ACTAR #3555) specialist.

From the manufacture of water filtration and water treatment equipment to field oversight of equipment installation and commissioning, Mr. Hora’s HVAC experience spans multiple market segments, including food processing plants, institutional structures, and commercial buildings. He has worked on every stage of plumbing design, analysis, and commissioning and has engineered plumbing solutions for cryogenic freezing facilities, nuclear power generation, municipal wastewater facilities, industrial wastewater facilities, schools, government facilities, and commercial buildings.

Mr. Hora’s manufacturing experience includes sheet metal fabrication as well as consumer product development. He has worked with diverse groups comprised of international team members to design and troubleshoot cryogenic freezer components, water filtration equipment, and consumer products. He has worked in every stage of manufacturing from idea concept, drawing generation, fabrication, verification/testing, and marketing to end customers.

Mr. Hora has experience with investigating and analyzing vehicle crash damage, vehicle mechanical failures, and fire incidents. He has applied his mechanical engineering background to the reconstruction of vehicular accidents that range in severity from minor property damage to multiple-vehicle collisions. Recovery and analysis of airbag control module data, infotainment data, and engine control module data is frequently part of Mr. Hora’s work. His reconstruction experience includes accidents involving cars, trucks, motorcycles, and commercial vehicles.

Numerous origin and cause fire investigations involving furnaces, water heaters/boilers, appliances, and other mechanical items have been conducted by Mr. Hora. Investigation of fire sprinkler discharges in residential, commercial, and industrial settings include overall system design, installation, and sprinkler head defects.

Mr. Hora has experience inspecting elevators and escalators involved with injuries and fatalities as well as evaluating damaged components from water exposure. General failure investigations have included, glass shower doors, automatic and manual doorways, fixed/step/extension ladders, chairs, slide gates, barrier arms, refrigerators, washing machines, and dishwashers.
