BACKGROUND:

Ms. Vanessa Rollins holds a B.S.E. degree in Civil Engineering and is a registered professional engineer in Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, and Wisconsin.

Ms. Rollins has performed structural analysis and design of materials including steel, wood, and reinforced and pre-stressed concrete on bridges and residential- and commercial-style structures, including schools and hospitals. She has a background in modeling complex structures using ETABS, SAFE, and RISA 2D and 3D, as well as running structural simulations to evaluate the capability of the modeled structure.

Ms. Rollins has designed and oversaw the installation of public ADA facilities from every step from initial surveying, identification, and layout through design and construction. This includes ramps, crossings, sidewalks, and interactions with private ingress and egress.

As a forensic investigator, Ms. Rollins is responsible for investigating and evaluating structural and other failure conditions in commercial and residential structures and properties including the analysis of architectural, civil, and structural design- and construction-related problems.
