Background
Along with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and an M.B.A. in Business Administration, Mr. Dale Fridley is a registered Mechanical Engineer in Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada, California, Missouri, North Carolina, and Oklahoma and is an accredited ACTAR traffic accident reconstructionist.
Mr. Fridley’s experience includes nearly 20 years in the conveyor, warehousing, railcar, and metals processing industries. Much of this experience was in the design of conveyors for transporting a variety of materials, including coal, grain, limestone, and palletized products. His industrial career, combined with his material handling consulting experience, allows him to analyze a wide variety of mechanical products and work processes involved in industrial accidents, where he often applies his experience in failure analysis and his knowledge of applicable design codes, safety standards, and OSHA regulations. Over his career, Mr. Fridley has applied his extensive mechanical engineering background to the reconstruction of vehicular accidents that range in severity from minor property damage to multiple-vehicle and fatality collisions. These investigations include accidents involving cars, trucks, commercial and industrial vehicles, motorcycles, bicycles, golf carts, ATVs, pedestrians, and earthmoving equipment. Mr. Fridley is also trained and experienced in the collection and application of Event Data Recorder (black box) information from passenger and commercial vehicles as it relates to accident reconstruction.
Mr. Fridley’s industrial experience includes 11 years as a project engineer for a belt conveyor manufacturing company, which included the design of the belt drive systems, access walkways and handrails, hoppers, chutes, belt pulleys and shafts, belt tensioning systems, and safety devices. Mr. Fridley then joined an engineering firm specializing in the design of overland belt conveyor systems, before moving into warehousing systems as a project engineer on palletized conveyor systems. His conveyor system design experience includes belt conveyors, roller, slat and bucket conveyors, and gravity feed conveyors for movement of a variety of bulk and unitized products.
