Ivan van Spronsen, RRO, TQ

Background

Mr. Ivan van Spronsen joined Rimkus (formerly IRC Building Sciences Group, Inc.) in 2020, after spending the previous 5 years in private practice as a consultant and independent third-party reviewer for the Provincial Roofing Contractors Association. Prior to that, he served as the executive vice president and CEO of the Roofing Contractors Association of British Columbia, where he served for 5 years. Mr. van Spronsen began his career in the construction industry out of high school, earning his trade qualification in roofing. He then went on to work as a foreman and operations manager, and eventually owned a roofing and building envelope company with over 120 employees, working in five provinces and territories. He has deep, practical knowledge and experience as an observer, consultant, and project manager. Mr. van Spronsen achieved his RCABC-accepted roof inspector accreditation in June 2020 and earned his Registered Roof Observer (RRO) from IIBEC in 2021.
