Background

Mr. Massingill is a graduate of Baylor University with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and is a licensed professional engineer in Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, and Texas. He has more than 12 years of experience in mechanical and plumbing engineering design, project management, commercial and industrial risk mitigation, and forensic consulting.

Mr. Massingill is well versed in a wide variety of residential, commercial, and industrial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems and plumbing systems. His HVAC experience includes packaged air conditioning units, split systems, furnaces, chillers, cooling towers, air handlers, heat pumps, exhaust systems, and commercial kitchen equipment. His experience with plumbing systems includes domestic supply piping, chilled water piping, hot water heaters, recirculation systems, drain piping, vent piping, natural gas piping, grease interceptors, pumps, and lift stations. In addition, Mr. Massingill has investigated HVAC failures related to indoor air quality, moisture intrusion, operational deficiencies, condensation, and construction defects.

Mr. Massingill has extensive experience with building fire protection design, inspection, and failure evaluation of facilities ranging from heavy industrial to light commercial. He has experience with wet pipe, dry pipe, gaseous suppression, and foam-based protection for high hazard occupancies such as tire storage, rack storage of plastic commodities, aerosols, storage of ignitable liquids, and data centers. He is trained and experienced in digital technologies related to HVAC and fire protection systems including AutoCad, HVAC load analysis software, and fire sprinkler hydraulic calculation software.

Mr. Massingill has evaluated failures of consumer and workplace products related to property damage and liability. Products include dishwashers, washing machines, ice makers, refrigerators, furniture, water filters, boat lifts, and forklifts.
