Associate I, Assessment Services / Los Angeles/Riverside
Ms. Brandy Groves brings nearly 25 years of commercial real estate due diligence consulting with a sound knowledge of approaches to identifying, evaluating, and solving environmental and engineering conditions and associated risks. Ms. Groves is the technical expert who conducts property condition assessments (PCAs) and Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) of commercial real estate in order to identify construction and environmental conditions and issues. As such, she identifies the physical condition of properties, investigates problematic construction materials, estimates costs to repair or replace problematic building systems, projects capital replacement costs over a loan term, and prepares written reports. Additionally, she performs asbestos inspections, environmental screening, data research, and analyses, and has worked with and understands federal regulations, hazardous waste procedures, and natural resource management, and interprets environmental issues in written reports.
In addition, Ms. Groves has regularly performed technical reviews and peer reviews of assessments by others, to ensure completeness, technical accuracy, quality, and conformance to client requirements. She also has experience reviewing and revising protocols for technical issues, enforcing quality control initiatives, management and training of project support and technical/field staff, and fostering nationwide client relations.
