Mr. Simpson is an International Association of Arson Investigators Certified Fire Investigator, Illinois Office of the State Fire Marshall Certified Fire Investigator, Certified Fire Officer II, and an Illinois Department of Public Health licensed Paramedic. He is a certified private investigator in Illinois and Wisconsin.

Mr. Simpson is a Lieutenant and Director of Fire Investigations with the Carpentersville Fire Department in Illinois. He regularly responds to fire and hazardous materials incidents, investigates fires, and conducts life safety inspections within the municipality.
