Brian R. George

Background

Dr. George holds a B.S. in Textile Science and a Ph.D. in Fiber and Polymer Science from North Carolina State University. He has extensive experience in the textile industry including production, particularly of nonwoven fabrics, product evaluation, product development, forensics, fabric analysis, and performance issues. Dr. George is also skilled in design, manufacture, testing and understanding mechanical and chemical properties of various materials. 

He has held multiple professor positions since 1999 and has one U.S. patent pending as well as many published publications. His experience in textile design, engineering and forensics is diverse including work with product manufacturers and suppliers such as Federal-Mogul Corp., W. L. Gore & Associates, Inc., Euro-Pro Operating LLC, Lutron Electronics Co, and others. 
 
He also has specialized experience in the use of recycled plastic bags in nonwoven fabrics, textile products from alternative fibrous materials, integration of fabric formation and coloration processes, and fiber orientation and needle punch density on image quality ink jet printing on nonwoven substrates.
