BACKGROUND:

Mr. Earl holds a B.S. and M.S. in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in structural engineering. He is a registered professional engineer (Civil) in Texas, Colorado, Wyoming, Washington, Michigan, Louisiana, and Idaho, and is a licensed structural engineer in Utah, Oregon, Arizona, and Nevada.

Mr. Earl has extensive experience in structural design and evaluation of all types of structures including large commercial, industrial, institutional, and residential/multi-family buildings. He has provided evaluation and design services involving all types of building materials including conventional steel, concrete, light-gauge steel, masonry, and wood framing.

Mr. Earl has experience in the design and evaluation of industrial and manufacturing structures both in the US and abroad, including large crane buildings, mill buildings, filtration, crushing buildings, material handling facilities, and elevated tanks. He has also employed his expertise on unique and specialty structures, including industrial element-processing plants, mines, pre-fabricated steel buildings, airplane hangars, historic buildings, theaters, museums, bridges, amusement, and roller coaster structures.

In addition to Mr. Earl’s design experience, he has performed structural and seismic evaluations of all types of existing structures. He also has experience with blast and progressive collapse-resistant design, vibration analysis, modal and time history analysis of structures, and performance-based design.
