Background

Mr. Darby Nafziger brings over 20 years in the residential and commercial construction disciplines in building and general contracting, facility management, and substantial building inspection experience. Mr. Nafziger is the technical expert who conducts property condition assessments (PCAs) of commercial real estate in order to identify construction and environmental conditions and issues. As such, he identifies the physical condition of properties, investigates problematic construction materials, estimates costs to repair or replace problematic building systems, projects capital replacement costs over a loan term, and prepares written reports. Additionally, he performs environmental screening, data research and analyses, and interprets environmental issues in written reports.

In addition to his construction experience, Mr. Nafziger has extensive experience as an environmental consultant specializing in performing environmental site assessments (Phase I ESAs), asbestos inspections, asbestos project/air monitoring, indoor air quality investigations, radon consulting, and project management. Project responsibilities have included: project proposal development, regulatory interpretation, management of technical support staff for environmental and asbestos projects, and preparation of technical reports.

Additionally, Mr. Nafziger began his career with 12 years of experience as a journeyman, foreman, and estimator in the roofing industry with a focus on commercial building applications including built-up multi-ply asphalt and gravel systems, thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO) membranes, and ethylene propylene diene (EPDM) membranes.
