Background

Mr. Donald Gulden holds a degree in Metallurgical Engineering as well as an MBA with a concentration in Human Resources. He has extensive experience within the steelmaking industry, having spent well over 40 years in general operations, including senior-level management responsibilities, raw material management, project management, employee involvement, communication, work and process restructuring and innovation, as well as both hourly- and salaried-level training. His expertise includes work at a malleable iron foundry, several major steel companies, as well as several start-up ventures, running the gamut from fully integrated facilities to Mini-Mills.

Mr. Gulden has been involved in every aspect of steel manufacturing and has had operational responsibility at all levels of management within an Open Hearth shop, multiple Basic Oxygen Furnace shops, and several Electric Arc Furnace shops.

Mr. Gulden has expertise in developing both long- and short-term business plans, managing turn-around ventures, establishing user-friendly accounting systems, reducing costs effectively, and authoring and implementing training manuals for both operations and safety for both hourly and salaried employees. He also has experience as a Project Manager for all facets of a project, including the design, equipment specification, contract negotiation, construction, and start-up.

Mr. Gulden also has extensive experience with respect to representing, on a national level, multiple steel mill product suppliers with respect to mesothelioma lawsuits.
