Endicott M. Fay

Background

Mr. Fay is a graduate of the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Science in Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering.  Mr. Fay earned a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of New Hampshire.  He is a licensed professional engineer in the state of Washington.  He is also a Chartered Naval Architect in the United Kingdom and Europe, and is an elected Fellow of the Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers.
Before joining Rimkus, as the Chief Naval Architect and Manager of Vessel Design at Washington State Ferries, Mr. Fay managed a staff of naval architects, marine engineers, electrical engineers and designers.  Mr. Fay was instrumental in the integration of (7) seven new ferries into the fleet at the completion of the construction of (3) three Kwa-di Tabil Class ferries and (4) four Olympic Class ferries.

Mr. Fay has provided specialized marine forensic engineering analysis for the Washington State Ferries including; ship maneuvering control design, steering equipment defects, and maritime allision accidents.  Mr. Fay has worked closely with the Washington State Attorney General’s office on maritime injury claims.  While at Washington State Ferries, it has been Mr. Fay’s responsibility to determine the cause of any equipment or operational failure related to the design and operation of the vessels.
