Dr. Faud Khan received his Ph.D. in Structural Engineering from Drexel University and his MSc in Civil Structural Engineering from North Dakota State University. He is a registered professional engineer, licensed to practice in six jurisdictions with over 10 years of diverse professional experience in domestic and international projects. He is experienced at applying the principles of civil and structural engineering when planning, designing, and overseeing the construction, inspection and monitoring, and restoration and maintenance of existing structures and facilities.
Dr. Khan’s expertise on different types of projects includes buildings, warehouses, utility and telecommunication infrastructures, bridges, elevated platforms, smokestacks, cooling towers, water tanks, and foundation systems. He is well versed in performing advanced level analysis and design of structural components such as concrete, masonry, steel, wood, fiber-reinforced polymer composites, etc. Throughout his career, he has prepared technical proposals, structural reports, foundation reports, design and construction drawings, and contract documents for a wide range of projects throughout the northeastern United States as well as overseas.
Dr. Khan was previously involved in teaching and research activities as well. He taught several courses related to structural and geotechnical engineering in different universities. He also worked on different scientific research projects funded by National Science Foundations, The National Aeronautics and Space Administration, Federal Highway Administration, and Unites States Navy.
