Background

Mr. Sorkin earned a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering and an M.Eng. in Structural Engineering. He is a licensed professional engineer in the State of New Jersey and New York.

Mr. Sorkin has experience in all phases of design and construction for a wide range of projects. Design and evaluation experience of new structures and existing structures including residential and commercial properties, retaining walls and other soil retention systems, managing the condition assessment of existing structures and the corresponding repair and reinforcing design, reviewing as-built drawings and construction plans, conducting onsite visits and inspections of active construction sites and existing structures, to name a few.

Mr. Sorkin’s areas of expertise include building design and evaluation, construction engineering, geotechnical engineering, and structural engineering in the residential, commercial, transportation, and telecommunication fields. Mr. Sorkin’s design experience specifically includes the structural design and evaluation of steel, wood, concrete, heavy timber and masonry buildings, bridges, and other structures.
