Background

Ms. Thorpe is a graduate from the University of Waterloo, obtaining a Bachelor of Applied Science Degree in Civil Engineering. She has experience in contract administration, asset management, quality assurance, structural rehabilitation, and construction engineering. Her experience relating to the field of building science includes assisting with exterior building condition assessments, leak investigations, building enclosure rehabilitation drawing development, forensic investigations, and structural investigations.

Ms. Thorpe’s past projects include residential, transportation, urban landscape development, municipal infrastructure, and building construction.

Ms. Thorpe joined IRC Building Science Group, A Rimkus Company, at the end of 2020. As a Project Coordinator, she is responsible for assisting in performing condition assessments of multi-residential, commercial, and institutional facilities and preparation of reports and reserve fund studies. Additional responsibilities include performing field investigation work, building component and systems failure diagnosis, leak investigations, field review of construction work, specification writing, project management, and contract administration.
