
BACKGROUND:
Mr. Ignacio Carranza holds a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering and is a registered professional engineer in Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, and Texas. This U.S. Air Force veteran also holds an Associate of Applied Science degree in Electrical and Mechanical Technology and is a licensed master electrician in Texas.
He has industry experience in high-voltage electrical substation design, electrical distribution systems, protective relay coordination and arc-flash system studies, and industrial motor protection. His diverse experience and industry knowledge span over 20 years in areas of engineering and design, cost estimating, and hands-on electrical work where he gained practical experience in electrical construction, maintenance, testing, airfield lighting, and cathodic protection. His extensive field experience includes high-voltage equipment testing, maintenance, and commissioning of electrical equipment, integration of supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems, and quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) inspections. He performed damage assessments and replacement cost analysis on assignments involving electrical/mechanical equipment damage due to fires, lightning, electrical surges, and floods.
