Background

Jalis Ahmed is an Electrical Engineer with over twenty-years of experience in operation and maintenance  of Infrastructure, commercial and Industrial Buildings  Manufacturing, Warehouse, Production Facilities, Data Centers, Chemical Processing/Industrial Plants and Power Generation/Distribution Centers within  Canada and Internationally.

As an Engineer his responsibilities included Designing, Installation, Commissioning, Testing, Inspections, Operation and Maintenance of Electrical and Electro-Mechanical Systems.

Prepared several Engineering Preliminary and Detail Engineering Design including SLD, Load Calculations Equipment’s Specifications and Layouts, Process Flow Diagrams, Estimates and Risk Assessments and Mitigation Plans for Buildings, Facilities, and Hospitals, Data Centers, Power Generation and Distribution projects for Suncor Energy, TTC, Siemens, GlaxoSmithKline, Vale, Nalcor Energy, Genalta Power, Christi Digital, Peel Board School and Alta Link

His experience covers, Design Calculations, Building and Plants Electromechanical Design Review, Energy and Safety  Audits, SLD, Lighting System, Fire Alarm, Transformers, Switchgears, Cable  and cable Tray Calculations, Protection and Control System, Panel and Cable Scheduling, Electrical Equipment and System Specifications, Boilers, Chillers, Air Compressors, AHUs,  Chemical Manufacturing and Production Machines and plants and QA&QC compliances.

He has designed, commissioned, O&M Chemical, Pharmaceutical, Food Processing, Manufacturing Facilities, Utility Plant, Control Rooms, Electrical and IT Rooms, Data Centres, Business Centres, Sub Stations and Power Generation Plants and possesses extensive knowledge and experience in Developing Strategic Planning, Inspections, Energy Audits, Safety, Risk Assessment and Risk Mitigation Planning.
