Mr. Ahmed earned his B.E. degree in Electrical Engineering from NED University of Engineering and Technology in Pakistan. He is a registered professional engineer with over 20 years of experience in the operation and maintenance of infrastructure and various building types in Canada and internationally. His expertise extends to commercial and industrial properties, manufacturing and production facilities, nuclear power and chemical processing plants, power generation and distribution centers, data centers, and transportation infrastructure.
Mr. Ahmed specializes in providing forensic engineering analyses of accidents and failures related to electrical design and installations. His responsibilities as a consultant include investigations of electrical distribution systems, industrial losses, cable failures, control and safety systems, and product defect and appliance failures, as well as compliance evaluations.
As an engineer, Mr. Ahmed is well-versed in building construction processes involving design, installation, commissioning, testing, energy audits, and inspections, as well as operation and maintenance of electrical and electro-mechanical systems. He also possesses extensive knowledge related to safety and risk assessments and risk mitigation planning. Having worked with a wide variety of building types, Mr. Ahmed is familiar with building components such as lighting systems, fire alarms, transformers, switchgears, cable, protection and control systems, boilers, chillers, air compressors, air handler units, and chemical manufacturing and production machinery.
