John H. Willems

Background

Mr. John Willems brings over 37 years of progressive experience in the engineering and construction disciplines with project management experience and supervisor’s training. Mr. Willems is a technical expert with a civil engineering degree who manages and conducts field assessments of commercial real estate in order to identify construction and maintenance conditions and prepares the written reports according to client guidelines. As such, he identifies the physical condition of properties, investigates problematic construction materials, estimates costs to repair or replace problematic building systems, projects capital replacement costs over a loan term, and prepares written reports. Over the past 22 years, Mr. Willems has personally completed over 800 property condition reports for various Seller/Servicers, institutional investors, REITS, and owners.

In addition to fieldwork, Mr. Willems supervises Senior Project Managers at Rimkus Consulting Group, Inc., and all subcontractors performing agency work and technically reviews all agency reports prepared by Rimkus Consulting Group, Inc. prior to submittals (approximately 500 reports per year).

Additionally, Mr. Willems began his career with 12 years of experience as a journeyman, senior estimator, and superintendent for a $3,000,000-per-year construction firm constructing projects throughout the southwestern U.S. General responsibilities included materials and labor estimation, project management, on-site job supervision, proposal writing, and payroll.
