Background

Dr. Roberts holds a doctorate in Organic Chemistry is a recognized expert in the odorization of fuel gases. He has a wide range of experience in chemical and refining research, chemical, petrochemical and refining processes, power generation, fuel cells, fuels, natural gas, propane, the odorization of fuel gases and fuel gas detectors, as well as chemical contamination issues.

Dr. Roberts’ has experience with research and development, sales, new product development, process development and process scale-up. He has been involved in the investigation of numerous fires and explosions in gas plants, refineries, chemical plants, power plants, industrial facilities, as well as residential and commercial settings.

As a forensic investigator, he has worked with product contamination issues in diverse areas such as gasoline, diesel fuel, natural gas, propane, propylene, LPG’s, hydraulic fluids and crude oils. He also has experience with paints, coatings, polyurethane foam applications and many other polymer applications.
