Background

Josh is a licensed Professional Engineer and directs Blackstone’s Seismic and Structural services practice, a dedicated team of engineers trained in seismic-risk assessment and structural design for new and existing buildings of all asset types and classes. Josh’s background also includes structural forensic evaluation and rehabilitation, adapt-reuse planning, historic-building consultation, and litigation support. As a leader in the seismic-assessment and structural-services industry, Josh also provides seismic-risk-policy advisory services to institutional investors, commercial lenders, and Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, and is the technical chair of the ASTM E2026/E2557 Task Group on the Seismic Risk Assessment standard for commercial real estate due diligence, which is leading the effort to update the applicable ASTM guidance. Under Josh’s leadership, Blackstone’s Seismic and Structural services team has completed thousands of site evaluations and offers our clients a breadth of experience and expertise in major markets nationwide.
