Mr. Grammer holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in  Civil Engineering and is a registered professional engineer in  Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Tennessee and Texas. He has an extensive background in construction services combined with significant design and project management experience in structural engineering design, analysis, and failure analysis.    

As a structural engineer, Mr. Grammer’s design and analysis experience included contract management, the design of foundations, superstructure and retaining structures, multi-discipline design coordination management, BIM modeling, and construction administration.  His projects included single-family residences, multi-family mixed-use facilities, commercial office buildings, institutional classroom facilities, storm shelter design, power generation facilities, pulp and paper production facilities, and chemical plant design.  Mr. Grammer’s experience has encompassed projects with nearly every building material, including timber framing, light-gauge metal framing, aluminum, structural steel, plain, mild- and post-tensioned reinforced concrete, and plain and reinforced masonry.  

As a construction manager, Mr. Grammer’s responsibilities included estimating, contract management, resource planning, scheduling, procurement, BIM management, and project execution.  His projects included single- and multi-family housing developments, hospitals, manufacturing, institutional and commercial buildings, and parking structures.  

Mr. Grammer’s work in the field of forensic engineering includes the inspection and analysis of failures in civil/structural engineering in residential, commercial, institutional, manufacturing, industrial, and agricultural buildings and structures. Representative investigations have included foundation, superstructure, retaining wall and retention/detention pond failures, structural failures from vehicular impacts, damage due to seismic and vibration forces, fire and weather events, construction defect litigation, building code compliance, ADA compliance, and contract specifications.
