Dr. Kiumars Siah is a licensed Professional Engineer in multiple jurisdictions. He holds a Ph.D. and an M.S. degree in Civil Engineering with emphasis on Structural Engineering, and a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering. He has more than 30 years of professional engineering experience that cover a vast scope of civil/structural engineering.

Dr. Siah’s experience includes the survey of existing structures, development of load certification, corrosion survey of existing structures, site investigation, and inspection for construction projects. He also has experience in structural design of residential, commercial, industrial, institutional, environmental, aviation, sport, criminal justice, and medical and health-related buildings; design of foundations and retaining structures; structural repair and restoration of seawalls; and structural design of water reservoirs, rain catchment systems, and water reclamation facilities.

Also, Dr. Siah has project management experience in construction that includes planning, budgeting, scheduling, quality control, inspection and evaluation, other field-related activities, and interaction and communication with clients. He has successfully managed the completion of many feasibility studies, prepared project proposals, processed requests for information (RFI), and provided his expertise to design change packages.

Dr. Siah is intimately familiar with various building codes and regulatory requirements related to buildings and non-building structures. He is an experienced construction field manager with considerable conflict resolution skills and, on occasion, has taught civil/structural engineering courses. Dr. Siah possesses the education, experience, and knowledge to handle all facets of forensic investigations and analysis related to design and/or construction defects, structural engineering expert opinion, and review and guidance on contractors’ means and methods.
