Background

Mr. Klamut is a Civil Engineering graduate of Kingston University with extensive industry experience in the Building Structures and Civil Engineering sectors.

His experience and industry knowledge covers over 30 years in the following areas of the building structures business: structural design, procurement, due diligence, project and construction management, evaluation of new and existing buildings, implementing quality and control procedures, investigating construction defects and structural failure, structural surveys and preparation of written reports.
 
Mr. Klamut’s areas of expertise includes conceptual design and detail design of major construction projects in Central London; including façade retention projects, top down basement construction, design of acoustically isolated building structures, refurbishment projects, surgical demolition, deep basement construction projects, column removal/load jacking, basement retention and temporary works design.  During his career he has often assisted clients in investigating building fabric defects and structural failure, carried out building dilapidation surveys, acquisition surveys including preparation of written reports.  He has a track record of managing in-house multi-disciplined design teams, delivering quality designs on time and to set budgets. 

 In addition, Mr. Klamut has investigated multiple fire-damaged and explosion-damaged facilities for structural integrity and extent of damage. He has conducted multiple residential and commercial roof investigations for wind and hail damage and investigated multiple properties for flood-related distress.
