Background

Ms. Elliott holds a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering, an MBA, and is a registered professional engineer in Texas and Alabama. She has 15 years of experience in structural design and analysis in a prior role specializing in cold-formed steel (CFS) framing in commercial, industrial, government, and various other structure types.

Over the course of her career, Ms. Elliott has managed and engineered hundreds of projects ranging in scope and size. She worked closely with drywall contractors, general contractors, architects, and engineers-of-record on projects requiring unique design solutions and produced shop drawings, engineered calculations, 3D-models, and observation reports for interior and exterior CFS framing.

As a structural engineer specializing in the design of CFS, Ms. Elliott worked directly for a building product manufacturer gaining extensive experience in the production, design, and unique construction requirements of CFS. Her design experience includes exterior building envelopes, load-bearing structures, stability design, roof rafters, trusses, floor joists, soffits, fascia, and interior wall and ceiling framing. She has also designed structural steel elements to supplement or substitute CFS framing as needed.

Ms. Elliott has designed a wide range of building types across different regions of the country. This wide range of structures include universities, K-12 schools, libraries, shopping strips, car dealerships, mixed-use retail/office/residential buildings, medical office buildings, hospitals, hotels, apartments, assisted living facilities, storage facilities, government buildings, and mock-ups. As such, her experience includes designing the framing elements for specialty loads such as blast. Having designed buildings in different regions of the country, her design experience includes analyzing structures in high-wind prone regions and seismic controlling regions.
