Michael C. Lamp

Principal Consultant / LEED AP / Dallas/Fort Worth

Mr. Lamp is a graduate of the University of Texas with over 30 years of estimating, management, and consulting experience in the construction industry.

Mr. Lamp’s construction experience is grounded in the detailed and exacting exercises of project take-offs and cost estimating. He has examined literally thousands of sets of plans and specifications along with the associated documents and agreements. As the former owner of a general contracting firm, he is intimately aware of the business of construction and the relationships of the parties. His business acumen allowed him to provide consulting services to other contracting firms in the areas of establishing both business management practices and estimating procedures. He has also worked with the minority business community to assist MDBA and Section 8 contractors in the bond application process.

Mr. Lamp has extensive experience in the field of contractor default on construction performance and payment bonds. He is knowledgeable in regard to Takeover Agreements, Tender Agreements, Completion Agreements, Tri-Party Agreements, Release Agreements, Ratification Agreements, and other documents that may be required under a performance bond default. All agreements and legal documents are submitted for review to counsel, but Mr. Lamp’s knowledge of the construction industry can often smooth the process of getting the agreements in place. Mr. Lamp is licensed in the State of Texas to examine and adjust claims made under payment bonds.
