Mr. Vance received a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA in Business Administration. He is a licensed professional engineer (mechanical) with more than 25 years of experience in building science, engineering design, heating, ventilation and air conditioning equipment manufacturing industry and forensic consulting. He has worked as a mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) project engineer with an emphasis on healthcare, research and development, science laboratories, industrial, bio-pharmaceutical, government, critical and higher education facilities.
Mr. Vance’s knowledge and expertise of plumbing and heating ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) systems includes the development, layout, design, specification, installation, construction and inspection of related HVAC building systems and infrastructure. He also has experience in the installation, application and troubleshooting of various types of HVAC equipment in both residential and commercial environments including air-to-air, water-to-water, geothermal, hydronic and fan coil systems. His experience includes evaluation of temperature and humidity control problems, moisture and mold growth, indoor air quality, carbon monoxide, installation errors, design errors and omissions, component and system failure origin and cause, destructive and non-destructive examination and testing.
Mr. Vance is experienced in all types of plumbing and air conditioning systems including residential, commercial and industrial applications. He has experience with water chillers, packaged air conditioning units, rooftop units, air handlers, heat pumps, condensing units, boilers, furnaces, commercial kitchen exhaust systems, fans, blowers, ductwork, dust collection systems, refrigeration systems, condensing units, thermostats and controls. Mr. Vance has an extensive background with master planning whole campuses as well as engineering calculation, design, and installation for individual facilities. His involvement further included establishing safety protocols and procedures for safety considerations in all operations and processes, efficient systems, adaptable processes and troubleshooting of these systems.
