Background

Mr. Manning’s professional career has spanned over twenty-eight years as a firefighter, hazmat technician, fire investigator, fire code inspector/plans reviewer and fire consultant.  He retired as the Fire Marshal for the City of Greenville, Mississippi. While Fire Marshal he lead all origin and cause investigations and organized and conducted fire safety inspections of commercial buildings. He has conducted over 1,200 origin and cause investigations including commercial structures, multi-family dwellings, single-family dwellings, commercial and passenger vehicles, heavy equipment, explosions and fire-related fatalities.  He is a court qualified expert witness in the field of fire investigation.

He is a Certified Fire Investigator through the International Association of Arson Investigators and a Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator through the National Association of Fire Investigators. Mr. Manning has completed numerous educational seminars and continuing education courses in the field of fire investigation and fire code enforcement.
