Background

Mr. Manning is a Certified Fire Investigator and a Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator. He has served as Fire Marshal for the City of Greenville Fire Department in Greenville, MS.  

As the Fire Marshal and as a licensed private fire investigator (Arkansas, Louisiana and Texas), he has investigated and determined the origin and cause of more than 800 fires and explosions to include industrial facilities, commercial and residential structures, passenger vehicles, agricultural equipment, heavy equipment, and fire-related fatalities.  

Mr. Manning has completed numerous educational seminars and continuing education courses in the field of fire investigation and fire code enforcement.  He has also testified and been qualified as an expert witness in court proceedings pertaining to fire origin and causation.   

While Fire Marshal, Mr. Manning conducted training aimed at educating company officers in fire investigations and fire scene evidence preservation. In addition to his fire investigation experience, Mr. Manning served as a firefighter and company officer for sixteen years and has also worked in the power transmission and agricultural fields.
