Philip C. Luke

Background

Mr. Luke is a structural engineer who earned B.S. and M.S. degrees in Civil Engineering from the University of Idaho and the University of Texas at Austin, respectively. In California he is registered as a professional engineer, a civil engineer, and a structural engineer. With more than 34 years of professional experience, he brings a well-rounded and diverse background to the practice of investigative and restorative structural engineering.  

Mr. Luke has participated in the design and evaluation of over 1,000 buildings and structures. His work in the residential sector includes single- and multi-family residences, custom homes, and apartment complexes. His expertise also extends to high-rise mixed-use buildings, medical offices, schools, water treatment facilities, oil refineries, light-industrial manufacturing buildings, heavy mining structures, automotive manufacturing plants, park structures, and sports facilities. He has also worked with attorneys and insurance companies to resolve legal disputes.

His most recent forensic work includes determining the cause of water intrusion at an underground parking garage, evaluating a roof beam failure incident at a warehouse, and assessing residential structural damage resulting from natural disasters, inclement weather events, environmental factors, construction, and other causes.

He is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, the Structural Engineer Association of California, the International Code Council, and the American Institute of Steel Construction.
