Background

Mr. Beaird holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Masters of Business Administration. He is also a registered professional engineer in Florida and Texas.

Mr. Beaird's experience includes the design and certification of numerous impact-rated window and door systems, products specifically introduced to meet the stringent codes of the High Velocity Hurricane Zone in South Florida. New product design consisted of developing costed bills of materials, extrusion drawings, part drawings, fabrications, and assembly drawings. Compliance and certification included the build of prototype window products and laboratory testing, consisting of structural loading, water infiltration, large missile impact, and dynamic load cycling. Mr. Beaird also continuously identified and improved new product technical features as part of Design for Failure Mode and Effects Analysis projects.

As a forensic engineer, Mr. Beaird’s primary areas of focus include structural and mechanical components investigations. He brings extensive knowledge in the evaluation of fenestration defects, structural assessments of distressed and damaged buildings, building and building component failures, and moisture intrusions.
