Background

Mr. Arabie is a 1990 graduate of the University of Southwestern Louisiana with a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. Mr. Arabie is an Experienced Professional Engineer with a demonstrated history of working for E&P companies in the oil & gas industry.

He has performed a wide range of planning and working operations on land rigs and inland water rig projects in the Louisiana and Texas Gulf Coast. He has also worked jack-up rig prospects of the same area, as well as in state and federal waters offshore. His experience includes well design, rig supervision, well site operations, and drilling optimization. His experience spans all drilling sectors by way of operator, drilling contractor, service provider, and independent drilling consultant. He is experienced in field operations performing well site supervision on challenging wells with problematic issues such as well control, formation cross flow, severe loss circulation, under-balance drilling, mud-cap drilling technology, and pressure managed drilling. He can provide engineered well planning that includes directional designs, casing design, pore pressure analysis, days versus depth curves, cost versus depth curves, screening AFE costs, detailed well designs with procedures/schematics, and the newest industry technologies being used successfully today.

In addition, he has over 25 years of experience in drilling, completions, facilities, production, and abandonment engineering / project management for OCS-G Oil & Gas Operators on the Louisiana and Texas Gulf Coast, ensuring that the planning and PE certification of project recommendations are written in accordance with the regulatory compliance safety rules and regulations and submitted successfully to obtain permits from The Federal Regulatory Agencies (BSEE & BOEM).
