Background

Ms. Tamiko D. Therrien received her bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. She is also a certified English XL Tribometrist for testing for slip resistance of walking surfaces.

Ms. Therrien’s undergraduate education included studying the effects of stresses on timber, reinforced concrete, and steel as well as foundation design and earthquake design. She has a working knowledge of SAP2000, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and MicroStation V8i and above-average skills with Windows Excel.

Ms. Therrien has worked on premise liability cases, water intrusion cases, and building code compliance cases while working at Rimkus Consulting Group, Inc. Experience within the forensic field includes code compliance checks to determine if doorways, sidewalk vertical offsets, and theater lighting were to code, determining cause and origin of water intrusion, and slip-resistance testing for slip and fall cases. Ms. Therrien is continually pushing her boundaries to expand her scope of experience within the forensic field.
