Along with a B.S. in Civil Engineering, Mr. Mazur is a registered professional engineer with experience in civil-hydraulics and structural engineering analysis, design, failure analysis and construction services. His design experience includes: computerized structural design of industrial structures using dynamic and finite element models; building and equipment foundation design; concrete design; site development; and marine berth design.
Mr. Mazur has supervised construction and repair operations, responded to construction deviations, developed design specifications and procedures, coordinated environmental permits, and supervised project implementation. His work in the field of forensic engineering includes inspection and analysis of failures in civil/structural engineering related to industrial, commercial, municipal, and residential buildings.
Forensic assignments have included design and construction defects foundation and superstructure failures, overhead crane accidents, construction site accidents, fire and storm damage, premises liability incidents, and large property damage, as well as deficiencies related to building code compliance, industry standards, OSHA regulations, and contract specifications. His most recent work has been related to the evaluation of contractual disputes involving scopes of work, project costs, and schedule delays utilizing Primavera, as well as economic damages. Mr. Mazur has provided expert testimony during appraisals, depositions, mediation, arbitration, international arbitration, and trial.
