SFONDO:

Mr. David Ickes has been a registered architect for over 40 years, almost exclusively in the management of university projects and institutional housing.  As a Principal Consultant for Rimkus (formerly Commercial Construction Consulting, LLC), Mr. Ickes is responsible for all phases of a project from initial planning concepts through the completion of construction and commissioning.  He has extensive experience on public and private projects including residence halls, faculty housing, student centers, sports complexes, academic science buildings, parking garages, and site improvements.  He has been an Owners Project Manager for the Massachusetts State College Building Authority for over 20 years, working on all nine campuses.  They have completed new residence halls as well as gut renovation projects on bathrooms; corridor and stairwell upgrades; mechanical, electrical, and plumbing upgrades; exterior façade improvements; and complete window replacements.  Prior to Rimkus, he spent 14 years in the Capital Projects group at Boston College where he managed the Alumni Stadium Expansion and the complete renovation of Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Geology, Animal, and Computer Labs on campus.  He is recognized for being a vital team member throughout a construction project, whether ground up or renovation, from conception through completion.
