
バックグラウンド
Dr. Ann Tobin is board-certified in general toxicology, as a Diplomate of the American Board of Toxicology (DABT) and as a European Registered Toxicologist (ERT). Dr. Tobin completed post-doctoral fellowships in clinical chemistry, clinical toxicology and forensic toxicology laboratory director training under the Commission on Accreditation in Clinical Chemistry (ComACC) and the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office. She holds a doctorate in pharmacology and toxicology, a master’s degree in chemistry, and a bachelor’s degree in biology.
Dr. Tobin has more than 19 years of experience related to:
- Clinical Pharmacology – prescription drug interactions and adverse reactions
- Clinical Toxicology – therapeutic drug monitoring, chemical and biological exposure
- Non-clinical Toxicology – safety of medical devices, pharmaceuticals and food
- Forensic Toxicology – workplace drug testing, drug and alcohol impairment
- Clinical Chemistry – patient care testing
- Laboratory Medicine – lab inspections and audits
She has broad-based training and extensive leadership experience as a Clinical Director, Technical Director and Laboratory Director. Dr. Tobin has worked in the areas of pharmacogenetics and metals poisoning (clinical toxicology), as well as in post-mortem cases (forensic toxicology). Her expertise also includes the non-clinical toxicology risk assessment of nutraceuticals.
As part of the Rimkus Toxicology and Food Safety practice group, Dr. Tobin works cases related to the pharmacology of prescription drugs, general toxicology and toxic tort, clinical toxicology, pre-clinical testing, forensic toxicology of drugs of abuse (including questions of impairment), human health assessment and hazard analysis.
