Background

Mr. Rickie Salas holds a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and is a licensed professional engineer (P.E.) registered in Texas. He has over 13 years of engineering, environmental, industrial hygiene, construction management, and due diligence consulting experience. Mr. Salas conducts property condition assessments (PCAs) and environmental site assessments (Phase I ESAs) of commercial real estate in order to identify construction and environmental conditions and issues. He identifies the physical condition of properties, investigates problematic construction materials, estimates costs to repair or replace problematic building systems, projects capital replacement costs over a loan term, and prepares written reports. Additionally, he performs environmental screening, data research and analyses, and interprets environmental issues in written reports.

Mr. Salas has extensive experience as a professional engineer specializing in creating Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure Plans (SPCC); air emission inventories; and air emission permits for natural gas compressor stations, oil and natural gas storage and handling sites, and other industrial facilities. Project responsibilities have included project proposal development, emissions calculations, report preparation, and analysis of federal, state, and local regulatory compliance.

Additionally, Mr. Salas was a project engineer for Love Field Airport Modernization Project team overseeing environmental compliance associated with the renovation of Dallas Love Field Airport and replacement of the underground fuel hydrant system. General activities include delineation and remediation of impacted soils, overseeing removal of old fuel lines and installation of new fuel lines, maintaining documentation of contaminated soil stockpiles, preparing a groundwater dewatering/sump system discharge permit, and preparing air emission permits for a concrete batch plant and rock crusher.
