Kenneth L. Homfeld, P.E. is a 1974 graduate of Texas A&M University achieving a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis on Construction Management. Mr. Homfeld has worked over 40 years in the engineering and construction industry. Mr. Homfeld has an extensive background in heavy industrial construction and engineering and has developed a wide range of experience in design/build project management, construction project management, contract maintenance and construction safety. 

Mr. Homfeld’s areas of expertise include construction cost estimating; scheduling and cost control; construction engineering; construction claims resolution; construction safety; direct field supervision of construction crews; industrial maintenance operations; construction quality control; heavy equipment analysis and forensic investigation. He has many years of experience as a Project Manager in the construction and contract maintenance of chemical plants, oil refineries, fertilizer plants, pulp and paper mills, bulk liquid storage terminals, pipelines, air separation plants, paint and coatings plants, manufacturing facilities and wastewater treatment plants.

Mr. Homfeld is experienced in construction claims preparation and analysis; construction accident investigation and reconstruction; construction defect analysis; errors and omissions analysis; builder’s risk claims; surety claims analysis; cranes and rigging; and industrial accidents and failure analysis. He also has served as expert witness in cases involving personal injury and property damage, construction accidents, heavy equipment failures and accidents, construction contract claims and disputes, and construction defects. Mr. Homfeld is also the Senior Manager over four practice areas/divisions of Rimkus Consulting Group, Inc., Construction, Property, Fire and MEP Divisions.
