Dr. Richard Baratta on Trip vs. Slip

In a recent article published in Winter 2012 edition of Claims Journal, Dr. Richard Baratta of Rimkus' Houston office explained the difference between "trip and fall" and "slip and fall" incidents.  While a "slip" is the result of a loss of friction between the individual's footwear and the floor, a "trip" results from the foot encountering an unexpected obstacle, including experiencing too much traction. Baratta explains how this difference can have significant implications in the legal arena. The full Claims Journal article is available by clicking here.
