Licensed Professional Geologist and Rimkus Senior Consultant Charles McCrackin was the lead author on a paper that assesses the capability and practical applications of using quasi-3D Electrical Resistivity Tomography for mapping air-filled conduits in eogenetic karst.
The paper, which was published in the Journal of Cave and Karst Studies, looks at the use of this geophysical technique for void detection in the eogenetic karst region of West-Central Florida in comparison with the traditional 2D method. Check it out here.
