Environmental Assessments

Environmental Assessments

In the event of a chemical spill from a tank truck accident or the rupture of a fuel tank, Rimkus responds immediately to the scene. Staffed with environmental engineers, explosion specialists, chemists, chemical engineers, toxicologists, industrial hygienists, hydrogeologists, and geologists, Rimkus offers a comprehensive analysis of catastrophic events.

Our staff is “Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response” (HAZWOPER) certified as required by OSHA regulations, and qualified to enter catastrophe sites or spill areas containing hazardous and toxic materials.

Rimkus serves to assess the environmental impact of pollution events and determine compliance with state and federal laws. Upon entering a catastrophic area, our staff will define the extent of contamination and exposure to toxic and hazardous materials. Rimkus will manage the site, work with regulators, trace complex migrations of toxic waste, and help develop strategies to control clean-up costs. Once a spill has been cleaned up, Rimkus can assess if the clean-up was done correctly and if the cost of the remediation was reasonable.
