Rimkus Consulting Group Announces Senior Leadership Succession Plan

September 28, 2017

Rimkus Consulting Group, Inc., a worldwide provider of forensic consulting services, today announced strategic changes in the company’s senior leadership team. Following more than 30 years with the company, S. Frank Culberson has retired as chairman of the board of directors and current President and Chief Executive Officer Curtis Brown assumed that position.

Replacing Brown as president and chief executive officer is Robert “Bob” Kocher, current chief operating officer and board member. Succeeding Kocher is Jonathan E. Higgins, who previously served as vice president of Rimkus Consulting Group’s Western Region.

“I’ve had the opportunity to watch Bob and Jonathan grow as leaders over the last 10 plus years, and I have great confidence that their deep industry experience, technical backgrounds and ability to translate vision and strategy into world-class execution ideally positions them to lead Rimkus Consulting Group into the next chapter of growth for our company,” said Curtis Brown. “Our sincerest thanks go out to Frank for his years of dedication and service to the Rimkus family – during his time as chairman, he created a solid foundation that will serve Rimkus well for many years to come.”

In his role as chief executive officer, Kocher will be responsible for day-to-day leadership and management of the company’s strategic plan and market position as a global leader in forensic engineering and consulting. His appointment comes at a time of growth and expansion for Rimkus Consulting Group following the launch of a new company, Rimkus Building Consultants, created to leverage the firm’s 34-year legacy in forensic expertise to help clients proactively extend the life of their facilities.

Brown graduated from the University of Texas with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering and holds a Master of Business degree from University of Illinois at Chicago. He has been employed with Rimkus Consulting Group since 1989.

Kocher holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Auburn University, a Master of Business degree from Georgia State University and has more than 35 years of engineering and business management experience.

Higgins is a graduate of the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering, with an emphasis in structural engineering, and has over 20 years of engineering and management experience.
