The course discusses the various systems available, their functionality, the available data contained within these modern systems, and how it can be utilized in accident reconstruction.

Tony J. Myers is an ACTAR-accredited Senior Consultant and member of the Rimkus rapid response team who specializes in vehicle accident reconstruction. His responsibilities include the investigation, analysis, and reconstruction of various types of vehicle collisions. He provides collision scene response, analysis and vehicle evidence collection utilizing forensic mapping, digital scanning, and imaging/analysis of EDR data. His 33 years of traffic accident reconstruction experience include more than 27 years in law enforcement, handling traffic accident investigations and reconstructions, serving as a Traffic Drug Interdiction team member, and achieving Assistant Post Commander (Sergeant), including special duties of traffic control for the NHRA Nationals. He is a member of the National Association of Professional Accident Reconstruction Specialists (NAPARS) and the Ohio Traffic Accident Reconstruction Association (OTARA). Mr. Myers held Governors Commissions of Trooper and Sergeant from the Ohio State Highway Patrol along with an Ohio Peace Officer Certification (OPOTA) from the Sandusky Police Academy.

Zyad Jabal is a licensed Professional Engineer in Florida. He has more than 15 years of experience with power plants and heavy industrial engineering, including operations, maintenance, failure analysis, project management, and implementation of quality/control procedures. Responsibilities of his role with Rimkus include the investigation and analysis of commercial vehicle accidents and failures, mechanical systems/equipment, and consumer products. He evaluates mechanical failures in residential, commercial, mechanical, HVAC, and plumbing systems. His areas of expertise include engineering design and equipment selection, construction, project management, operations, maintenance, feasibility studies, economic analysis, and safety programs. He is a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and a Certified Level 1 Bosch Crash Data Retrieval System Technician. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from the University of South Florida.
