背景
Gregg is a Chartered Engineer with 8 years of experience working as a Mechanical Engineer within the built environment. He has proven technical expertise in HVAC and public health system design, playing a lead role in guiding MEP development in multidisciplinary teams through concept and detailed design, construction, commissioning, and handover stages, particularly within the healthcare, defence, and commercial sectors.
Gregg has significant practical experience in building services. He has led large-scale asset conditioning surveys for University and Healthcare Estates, investigated and rectified performance and reliability issues with HVAC systems, overseen installation and commissioning, and witnessed a wide range of mechanical services packages. Gregg has supervised factory acceptance testing of primary plant and inspected mechanical and electrical installations for quality, regulatory non-compliances, and deviations from design specifications.
Gregg has provided critical project support to Tier 1 Contractors and mechanical and electrical subcontractors through construction stage appointments in new builds, retrofits, and refurbishments. He has considerable experience in planning and coordinating service installations, integrating specialist designer work packages, advising on CDM and HSE risks, conducting pre-construction buildability and due diligence design reviews, and managing sequencing and handover plans.
Gregg also has a strong understanding of the utilisation of BIM in modern construction projects, having developed REVIT MEP models to various maturity levels in support of RIBA Stage 3, 4, and 5 deliverables.
He has also administered various minor works JCT construction contracts and has authored technical reports as part of variations and claims disputes.
