Mr. Izzy Gonzalez has more than 40 years of experience in the commercial transportation industry, including industrial logistics, warehouse operations, project management, and inventory control. Mr. Gonzalez possesses broad-based safety and regulatory compliance knowledge and experience as a Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) owner/operator, a Terminal Manager for a nationally recognized 48-state less-than-truckload (LTL) motor carrier, and a Risk Manager. Additionally, Mr. Gonzalez launched an integrative fleet management program for a large parcel carrier as part of an acquisition/merger and has worked both collaboratively and solely to develop safety process management tools. Mr. Gonzalez completed an FMCSA New Carrier Entrant audit, securing a United States Department of Transportation (USDOT) number for the subject motor carrier.

Mr. Gonzalez currently holds a Class A CDL and consults on several areas of the commercial transportation industry including FMCSA compliance, driver hiring, retention, credentialing, and training; and loading and unloading operations and procedures, including LTL cross-docking and inbound and outbound load planning, driver standard of care, cargo securement, forklift and loading dock operations, and longer combination vehicle (LCV) operations.

His specific subject matter expertise includes fleet scheduling and operations, fleet maintenance, logistics, warehousing operations, FMCSA compliance and applicability, OSHA compliance and safety policy development and oversight, and CMV driver hours of service, including the use and management of Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs).
