A sports organization was considering partnering with a provider of a novel technology for reducing the risk of ankle sprains.

Services Provided

Rimkus was retained to assist the sports organization in understanding the risks and benefits of this technology prior to introducing it to players. We inspected the device, conducted scientific literature reviews, met with the manufacturer, and evaluated testing data. We considered the potential for the ankle brace to introduce new risks to the players, compared the reported efficacy to limit ankle sprains against other common technologies, and provided recommendations for improving application of the technology to best suit our client’s needs.
