Background

An international sports federation was developing a digital tool to rate quality of sport technologies on its website, with the goals of educating federation coaches and sport science staff and reducing time spent using poor-quality technology.

Services Provided

Rimkus was retained to develop a systematic method for ranking technologies and displaying them on the online dashboard. We used sport science and human factors expertise and our experience in sport technology validation to create and document processes for intake, review, classification, and scoring of technologies. Our experts conducted a usability review of the digital tool and produced recommendations for technology descriptions, FAQs, and other instructional material to support user understanding of the ranking system.
