
BACKGROUND:
Mr. Aaron Trenshaw holds a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering, a B.S. degree in Architectural Engineering, and an M.S. degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in structures from Missouri University of Science & Technology. He is a registered professional engineer in Arkansas, Florida, Iowa, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Missouri, Mississippi, Oklahoma, and Tennessee.
He has over 11 years of industry experience in design, engineering, procurement, structural design and evaluation, scheduling, and cost estimating of natural gas processing; nuclear power, power transmission, forensic investigations, and code compliance. During his time at Rimkus, Mr. Trenshaw has focused much of his expertise on investigating the cause and origin of damage to various properties as well as code compliance of facilities related to accessibility and safe walking surfaces. He has conducted multiple investigations of walkway accidents occurring at hotels, theaters, parking structures, restaurants, grocery stores, commercial buildings, and personal residences. In the course of his work, he has developed a thorough working knowledge of current walkway safety standards, protocols, building codes, and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) design guidelines. Mr. Trenshaw also has significant experience performing engineering investigations on residential, commercial, and industrial properties evaluating site issues, including foundation settlement investigations, moisture intrusion/water damage, tornado and storm damage, structural damage, fire damage, vehicle impact and tree impact damage, and construction defect determinations.
Mr. Trenshaw’s areas of expertise include structural analysis, design, and performance analysis of steel structures, anchorage, and power systems supports; design power transmission systems; residential construction; walkway safety; site accessibility; lighting; and premises liability related to design and construction. He has performed design work, prepared contract documents; developed full engineering, procurement, and construction estimates; and proposal packages. He has provided construction administrative services such as cost estimates, shop drawing reviews, and addendums to contract documents. He has answered requests for information from contractors, coordinated efforts between construction and engineering organizations, and performed field inspections/investigations.
