Mr. Alvin Gutierrez is a Professional Engineer registered with EGBC and PEO. He has more than 25 years of experience in the structural design of concrete, steel, and timber structures. His work experience in Canada includes, but is not limited to, mass transit projects, industrial buildings, traffic sign structures, portal trench retaining walls, foundations, and tunnel boring machine (TBM) cradle slabs. Mr. Gutierrez has extensive structural engineering design experience outside Canada as well involving the design of bridges, communication towers, low- to medium-rise commercial buildings, and residential buildings.

Mr. Gutierrez is trained to conduct Seismic Retrofit design of existing buildings, as mandated by Engineers and Geoscientists BC SRG 3rd Edition. He is well versed with the applications of NBCC, CSA-S6, CSA-A23.3, CSA-S16, CSA-O86, CSA-S304, AASHTO, AREMA, IBC, ASCE, ACI, and AISC codes. He has strong expertise in using design software such as CSiBridhe, SAP2000, S-Frame, StaadPro, PCA, and Risafoot
