Mr. Chad Finch graduated Cum Laude with a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering, with an emphasis on geotechnical/structural design and analysis.  While attending Florida State University, Mr. Finch performed finite element modeling for transit bus crash analysis.

Mr. Finch’s experience includes working as a laboratory technician, performing site inspections and performing and overseeing geotechnical testing, including hand auger borings and standard penetration test (SPT) borings.  In addition, Mr. Finch is experienced in soil classification and analysis. He has performed soil moisture content testing, sieve analyses, plasticity testing, sample collection, and data input.  His experience in geotechnical testing particularly focuses on the identification of sinkhole activity and the relationship of damage to structures underlain by sinkholes and/or detrimental subsurface conditions.  He is experienced in the design of soil improvement programs including sinkhole remediation, such as grout monitoring, chemical injections, and pin pile design.

Mr. Finch is experienced in analyzing distressed residential and commercial buildings, including, but not limited to, structural damage assessments.  His structural damage assessments particularly focused on the identification of structural damage as defined in the current Florida Statute 627.706.

Mr. Finch has conducted property investigations on residential and commercial/industrial structures including roof damage assessments, moisture intrusion, flooring damage assessments (tile, wood, etc.), pool failures, and storm-related damage.  He is also a licensed Florida Mold Assessor certified to assess indoor air quality and mold-related issues for residential, commercial, and industrial facilities.  In addition, he also has experience developing remediation protocols for indoor air quality and mold-related issues for residential and commercial structures.
