BACKGROUND:

Mr. Dale Rook holds a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering and is a registered professional engineer in Ohio, Indiana, West Virginia, Michigan, Texas, New York, and Kentucky. Mr. Rook has over 30 years of experience in electrical power and lighting design, fire alarm, and construction administration of residential, commercial, and industrial projects. In addition, he has extensive experience with electrical distribution switchgear design and field experience as an applications and field service engineer for a major electrical equipment manufacturer.

During his career, Mr. Rook has provided electrical design consulting services as an employee and as a firm owner/principal engineer for over 20 years for a range of commercial, municipal, industrial, educational, residential, and utility projects, including as an owner’s representative.

Mr. Rook has worked in the utility industry at a municipal utility company as a Transmission and Distribution engineer. Responsibilities included the design and field verification of overhead and underground electric utilities for industrial and residential utility customers. System voltages ranged from 138-kilovolts (kV) and 69kV transmission to 12,470-Volt (V) and 4,160-V distribution.

As an applications and field service engineer, Mr. Rook has experience with electrical distribution switchgear design and field experience for major electrical equipment manufacturers. He provided custom engineering solutions for customers to repair, upgrade, and expand their existing electric distribution systems and included quotation and design of custom engineering solutions for new equipment, line extensions, retro-fits, equipment upgrades and control schemes, and translation of order information from sales and customer specifications into manufacturing drawings and schematics. Equipment was designed in accordance with the National Electric Code and UL standards as applicable, including the integration of power distribution, metering, and automated controls. He has commissioned and troubleshot power systems, along with reviewing and developing designs to retrofit and replace new and vintage power equipment due to equipment age, obsolescence, and catastrophic failures.
